China - Wenzhou Huzhou Villa

Details

Located in the vibrant Phoenix Bay precinct of Huzhou, Zhejiang Province, the Huzhou villa reimagines the future of high-density living through a distinctly Eastern lens. Designed by Wanjing Jiang, this refined showcase villa exemplifies the development’s vision of harmonizing cultural heritage with modern luxury — a core principle behind Phoenix Bay’s emergence as an “International Bay Area” lifestyle destination.

Huzhou villa is set within a thoughtfully planned district, anchored by 115,000 sqm of curated commercial space and a 34,000 sqm waterfront promenade. Blending nature, leisure, and residential comfort, the area integrates courtyard villas, mid-rise buildings, educational infrastructure, and expansive green zones to support a vibrant and livable community for generations to come.

This residence draws on the poetic essence of Huzhou’s “Eighteen Sceneries,” translating them into a contemporary language of spatial experience. The result is a “Three-Courtyard, Nine-Realm” layout — a spatial sequence that merges traditional Eastern philosophies with fluid, modern form.

Molteni&C, in collaboration with Wenzhou Flagship Store partners, contributed a curated selection of furnishings that amplify the residence’s serene and intentional design ethos. Pieces from across the Molteni&C Collection were chosen to reflect an understated elegance and natural materiality, enhancing the flow between indoor and outdoor spaces. These include Augusto sofa, Margou armchair, Louisa coffee tables, Anton bench and Ovidio bed by Vincent Van Duysen and Woody stools by Francesco Meda.

Each room has been envisioned not only as a functional living area, but as a quiet retreat — a setting for balance, contemplation, and connection. This holistic approach to spatial design is aligned with the philosophy of imbuing "modern forms with Eastern soul.”

Through this partnership, Molteni&C continues to express its commitment to cultural dialogue, timeless craftsmanship, and interiors that elevate the experience of home.
