California - Los Angeles Villa Odin

A sprawling estate on just under one acre in the Encino neighborhood of Los Angeles, Villa Odin brings together the vision of architect Eran Gispan and interior designer Jae Omar, showcasing furnishings by Molteni&C throughout the 18,000 square foot residence.

Incorporating Scandinavian design in a minimalist but warm aesthetic, the home is inspired by the Norse god, Odin, whose strength of character resonates through every space.

Vincent Van Duysen’s Prime system is given pride of place in the Villa Odin kitchen, beautifully reflecting the balance achieved throughout the home’s design with a blend of Thermo Oak and Silk Silica materials. Exquisite shelving is offered by the Bright wall unit, also by Vincent Van Duysen, lining the back wall in Thermo Oak with clear glass shelves and bronze metal detailing.

The elegant butler’s kitchen presents a different configuration of the Prime kitchen by Vincent Van Duysen, this time with Bilaminate Linen as the base material with bronze metal finishings.

Villa Odin’s magnificent foyer is graced by Gio Ponti’s D.154.2 armchair and the handcrafted Aster side table by Vincent Van Duysen, bringing an intimate feel to the larger-than-life volumes of the space.

The villa’s gardens, masterfully crafted by Fiore Landscape Design, are punctuated with pieces from the Molteni&C Outdoor Collection, including the Ark table by Foster + Partners and the Green Point bench by Vincent Van Duysen.

This outstanding residence, among the most opulent ever built in the area, is a truly remarkable feat of architecture and design, combining contemporary elements with traditional, sustainable materials and thoughtful features to create a Los Angeles retreat that is as awe-inspiring as it is homey.
