Hotel Grace La Margna, a celebrated landmark in St. Moritz, has been redefined to offer a unique luxury experience that seamlessly blends the glamour of its Art Nouveau heritage with contemporary design. Nestled amidst the breathtaking beauty of the Engadine valley, this boutique hotel combines history and innovation to cater to a discerning, cosmopolitan audience.
At the heart of this ambitious restoration project is the collaboration with Molteni&C, whose custom-made furniture and iconic designs elevate the hotel’s interiors. From the reception to the cigar lounge, Molteni&C pieces complement the timeless elegance envisioned by Divercity Architects and interior designer Carole Topin.
Guests are welcomed in the hotel lobby by the Lido sofa by Hannes Wettstein and the Hubert coffee table by Vincent Van Duysen, alongside the refined craftsmanship of the Alisee coffee table by Matteo Nunziati, the Scriba writing desk designed by Patricia Urquiola, and the Chelsea chairs by Rodolfo Dordoni. These pieces from the Molteni&C Collection create warm, inviting spaces that honor the building’s history while embracing a modern aesthetic.
The cigar lounge features the Lucas and Lido sofa, the Chelsea and Sutton armchairs by Rodolfo Dordoni, and the Margou armchair, designed by Creative Director Vincent Van Duysen, along with the Domino Next pouf and 505 UP Sideboard by Nicola Gallizia, and the Ava bookcase by Foster + Partners.
The iconic D.151.4 armchair from the Gio Ponti Collection, also graces the cigar lounge in an ode to a great master of Italian design and architecture. Created in 2012 in collaboration with the Gio Ponti Archives and Ponti's heirs under the artistic direction of Studio Cerri & Associati, the Gio Ponti Collection is part of the Molteni&C Heritage Collection.
